Accounting Analyst/ Bookkeeper

PlotPath Finance, LLC is a Texas-based company that provides finance and accounting services to businesses in the United States. PlotPath has had a presence in Uruguay for over 9 years. We are expanding our local team and looking for a new analyst/ bookkeeper to execute accounting tasks for US-based clients.

Our approach is cloud-based and data-driven, meaning you'll be using the latest software, technology and tools. You'll work directly with a team of accountants in the US, but also have support in Uruguay from a bilingual team. Initially you'll work from the office in Punta del Este, full-time, Monday through Friday. As you gain experience and independence, you will have flexibility to set your own work hours during the day and week, and the possibility to work partially remotely (hybrid role).

To be successful in this role:

* You need an advanced level of English, but your English does not have to be perfect. Reading and writing is most important as you will work entirely in English, communicating via chat and email with team members in the US. You will also communicate via video conference with team members regularly, so you need to be comfortable with English speaking and listening.
* You must have completed your University Degree in Contador Público, Economista, Administración de Empresas o similar.
* We prefer one year of experience in an accounting or similar role.
* You must live in the Maldonado area, or be willing to relocate there, in order to commute to the Punta del Este office Monday through Friday. You may eventually have some flexibility to work from home, but for the most part, and especially initially, all work will be done from the office.
* You need to be able to work independently, i.e. set tasks and complete them without constant oversight. After initial training, much of the work will be independent - you need to be motivated and results-oriented.
* You should love technology and data - we work in the cloud and you need to learn and adapt to new software quickly.

Compensation nominal: $65.000 - $70.000 mensual. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience and education of the candidate.
